How does a WhatsApp ordering bot work?

A customer messages your WhatsApp number and gets a menu — hot & cold drinks, sandwiches, deals — as WhatsApp list and button messages. They pick items and sizes, the bot builds a basket, asks delivery or pickup, requests a location pin for delivery, then offers EasyPaisa, JazzCash, bank transfer or cash and captures the payment screenshot. The order is confirmed back to the customer with their name and items filled in, and lands with your staff in the shared inbox — or is posted to your POS.

Do I need to rebuild my menu inside the bot?

No. An API step can pull categories, items, sizes and prices from your existing menu or POS API, so the bot always shows the live menu and current deals. If you don't have an API, the menu is a set of list nodes you edit on the canvas.

What if the customer wants a person?

Typing "agent" (or any escape word you choose) at any step hands the chat to a named team — "Orders" or "Support" — and the human reply continues in the same thread. Staff work from the team inbox with unassigned / assigned queues, statuses and business hours; a no-reply reminder nudges customers who go quiet mid-order.

Can the restaurant also take phone orders?

Yes. VoiceStream is a cloud phone system too: a phone order rings the browser softphone, the customer's record pops open, and the same CRM record holds their WhatsApp chats and calls. Order updates — confirmed, dispatched — can go out as WhatsApp template messages, and an AI voice bot can take orders on the phone after hours.
