Automated Alarm Calls for Vehicle Tracking Companies
Built for vehicle-tracking and monitoring companies: every alarm the tracker raises becomes an automated call, recorded, billed and written back to your system.
What does an alarm autodialer do?
A tracking company's control room receives hundreds of alarms a day — geofence exit, ignition on, SOS, over-speed, tow, low battery. Most are handled by an operator dialing the vehicle owner by hand. VoiceStream replaces that first call: the alarm is ingested automatically, matched to a call flow for its type, dialed within seconds, spoken to the customer with live details ({plate_number}, {driver}, location), and the customer's keypress and the call outcome are written straight back into your own events table.
How does the alarm reach VoiceStream?
| Source | How it works | Client-side work |
|---|---|---|
| Webhook / HTTP | Your tracking platform posts the alarm to a per-source endpoint with its own key | One HTTP call |
| Direct database | VoiceStream reads new rows from your MySQL events table and maps fields with variables auto-detected from real data | None |
Duplicate and late alarms are suppressed by policy, so a tracker that fires the same geofence event ten times produces one call.
What happens on the call?
- Match — the alarm type selects a flow; each type has its own recording toggle and optional WhatsApp / SMS notification.
- Queue — the alarm joins the tenant's autodial queue behind a Start / Stop switch and a concurrent-call cap (20+ parallel calls per tenant).
- Gate — balance, rate plan and rate are checked before every call.
- Call — play audio, text-to-speech or say-as steps read the vehicle details; a DTMF menu captures "1 = it's me, 2 = report theft"; the call is recorded.
- Write back — every 30 seconds
call_status,call_time,call_duration,attempts,costand the recording URL are written to your table, so your own dashboard shows the result.
What does the control room see?
A live board refreshing every five seconds and a completed board with export. Per alarm: last call status, answered / no answer / duplicate reason, talk time, call time, cost and the recording inline. Reports break alarms down by type, vehicle and day with answer rates and cost, and call and feedback logs keep the keypress results. PDF and Excel export throughout.

How is it billed?
Each answered alarm call is charged once to the tenant's prepaid wallet at the tenant's rate plan — the same wallet and rate plan used by agents and campaigns. A provider report shows the minutes each trunk carried. See pricing.
Can the same engine handle other events?
Yes. Shopify order alerts, payment reminders and appointment reminders reuse the same ingest → flow → dial → write-back engine. For list-based calling see the outbound campaign autodialer; for the human side of the control room see the cloud PBX and contact-centre software.
