Choosing Grandstream hardware for a small call center

An appliance, the right phones, and gateways for your existing lines.

Last updated: 26 June 2026

For a small call center you typically need one Grandstream IP-PBX appliance, an IP phone per agent, and a gateway if you have analog lines or phones to keep. Here’s how the pieces fit together with VoiceStream.

The PBX appliance

A Grandstream UCM appliance handles your extensions, queues and IVRs on-premise. A UCM6302 suits smaller teams; a UCM6304 scales to more users and concurrent calls. It bridges to VoiceStream so you keep cloud features and the browser dialer.

The phones

Give everyday agents a reliable desk phone (e.g. GRP2612) and managers a higher-end model (e.g. GRP2615). Many teams skip desk phones entirely and use VoiceStream’s browser WebRTC dialer — no hardware on the desk at all.

Gateways and cordless

Use an analog adapter (e.g. HT812) to bring existing phones or fax onto VoIP, or a DECT system (DP752 + DP730) for cordless coverage across a warehouse or large floor.

What about installation?

VoiceStream supplies the hardware and installs it — racking, auto-provisioning the phones, configuring trunks, extensions, IVRs and queues, and training your team — on-site or remotely. You get a working phone system, not a project.
